Meet Doula Ros
Rosana Padua, CD(DONA), LCCE
Certified Birth Doula, DONA International
Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, Lamaze International
Doula Ros acquired her birth doula training in Bali, Indonesia under the tutelage of 2011 CNN Hero of the Year, midwife Ibu Robin Lim, US-based midwife Katherine Bramhall, and author-director of Orgasmic Birth, Debra Pascali-Bonaro. Since her training, she has supported over a hundred births.
She leads the Pinay Doulas Collective (PDC)'s childbirth preparation and newborn care classes; and to date, the Pinay Doulas Collective has helped thousands families in their birth and parenthood preparations.
Doula Ros offers support that is from the heart and rooted in the belief that gentle birth and gentle parenting have a profound impact on the child, the mother, the whole family, and society as a whole. She is an all-inclusive birth keeper who will support your birth choices. She will not push any agenda on you but instead will provide you with educational resources and materials, with the aim of helping you make informed decisions.
Also, as a woman who gave birth via cesarean in 2012, she believes and knows first-hand how women who give birth via cesarean need more support during birthing, and especially in the immediate postpartum period. She is also intimately aware of the plight of women who aim for a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), which she went through for her second birth in 2019. Her two experiences in birthing puts her in a unique position as a birth worker and educator.
Aside from being a birth keeper, Doula Ros is an early-childhood educator and helped facilitate the parent-toddler program of Kolisko Waldorf School and Kindermusik Philippines. She is also a child-rights advocate and trainer, having previously worked with UNICEF, Save the Children, Probe Media Foundation, and the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC).
Doula Ros is a proud member of the Pinay Doulas Collective.
Founded in 2015, the Pinay Doulas Collective is a pioneer group of fertility, birth and postpartum doulas, who support women in their reproductive years through personalized doula support, and group classes on childbirth preparation, fertility, newborn care and development, and parenting.

Members of the Collective bring with them diverse personal experiences, local and international trainings and community work, merged with up-to-date and evidence-based information to create programs that respond to the needs of women and their families today. Aside from individual certifications of doulas, Pinay Doulas Collective is also proud to be the only organization in the Philippines to have trained and certified educators of Lamaze® International, KG Hypnobirthing®, and Spinning Babies®. Members of the Collective are also local and international trainers on breastfeeding and infant and young child feeding, early childhood education, and aromatherapy.
